This is an excellent clay for pottery and modeling. Can be kiln fired and glazed.
This red earthenware clay is very fine and manufactured with raw materials from Quebec soils. The red earthenware clay will turn a brick red colour when fired at Orton cone 02 and it becomes a dark red-brown at cone 2. It is recommended to bisque this clay in a ceramic kiln at cone 04 and to apply a glaze at cone 06 for best results and brighter colors. For a stronger mechanical force you can also bisque this clay at cone 08 and apply a glaze at cone 2. This clay accepts most commercial glazes.
